BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma announced – new characters, sprite redrawsPosted by Takoto in News
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, a new game, has been announced via twitter and BlueFes2012. The game will feature three new characters; Bullet/Barret, Amane, and Azrael. Hazama is confirmed to have a new distortion and several characters will be receiving new moves, sprites will be redrawn (Noel Vermillion will be hat-less with a different weapon, for example). No release date has been given yet, or even a vague idea of how far along the game is, apparently, but more details should be released in the coming weeks.
Revealed by Famitsu earlier in the week, it was confirmed that BBCS2Plus would get a slight name change (becoming BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend), along with a console release- what type of release (be it patch, DLC, disc, or something other) has not been mentioned yet. It is, however, confirmed that it will have Relius Clover playable; the new stories featured in the PSP Vita version of the game; the “Abyss” mode, and a new network-based mode. There are few specific details yet on this, but it’s assume ASW will release more details within the coming weeks. ![]() Scan from Famitsu’s Magazine, full image here. From Famitsu comes confirmation that the PSP Vita version of BlazBlue (Continuum Shift II +) will be getting not only extra features, but new characters as well. The first (and so far, only) revealed character being Relius Clover (and Ignis). From the screen-shots, is appears he has a similar gauge to Carl Clover’s Nirvana gauge in battle, plus he’ll have his own stage (thus meaning BB:CS2+ will have new stories, stages, music and characters). According to Famitsu, there are also possible plans for more DLC updates to the console versions of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. Whether this means just balance patches, or bringing the new character(s) to the console version, is unknown.
During the recent E3, a new portable version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift was revealed- alongside a short demo- for the newly announced Sony console, “PSPVita”. The game is rumored to have “six new story modes” (though there are no details on this, as of yet!), and like the previous portable installment, will come with the BB:CS DLC characters Makoto Nanaya, Valkenhayn R. Hellsing, and Platinum the Trinity. The game will have online play, and ArcSystemWorks are currently testing 3G with the game. The game is still in development, however Aksys have already confirmed that they will be translating the game and releasing it in America. No word has been had from the European publishers ZenUnited yet. |
