Noel is not easy to play with.

I find her timing to be very exact.

And If you think mashing D counts as "Playing" the character then you are mistaken.

I respect true Noel players.

Hey, no-one in this thread knows what they're talking about, except Lucalibur to a degree (yes, I'm including Chain, sorry bro.). And you should all think about why I would say this.

Don't worry no offense taken. I KNOW that I am most likely mistaken. I haven't played Noel since CT so my knowledge of her is outdated severely.

Which is why I am posing the question to someone more experienced.

That's an issue with your own timing, not that the character's timing is actually hard.

I've taken Noel into training mode a few times and even from my few encounters I have some of her longer combos down already, her combos are ridiculously easy.

I've never even seen one Noel online who doesn't depend on mashing 4D like a lifeline without realizing that 4D loses to lows....

Now look at Valkenhayn, who I've been playing for ages, I STILL can't get some of his hardest combos down, there's a character that takes true skill to play, why do you think even with him being top tier that people haven't tier whored Valkenhayn as much as Makoto or Noel was in CS2? Yet people STILL try to whore out Noel.

To continue with Lucalibur's statement, let's look at Relius now. His combos are very easy, even some of the ones that can net you between 5-7k. Relius' difficulty mainly comes from having to manage your Ignis meter well because without Ignis you suck pretty hard. That's his thing you need to be good at to be good at the character because you can learn his 5K combos but if you can't keep Ignis alive or even just keep her out then you ain't getting anywhere with Relius. Noel doesn't have that in any form because she's an easy mode piece of shit.

I agree with TM's post. Noel has a bare bones gameplay style. There's nothing really there for you to learn.

There's plenty to learn, though it's outside the realm of Challenge mode. Just because you can do a combo, doesn't mean you'll get the chance in a match. Being barebones just means you need to have a stronger grasp of the basic game mechanics.

The thing about Noel's Drive is that it's a complete 2nd moveset (sorta like Valk's wolf form) except that it's scripted. Once you press D, there's no going back. As an opponent, once she starts Drive, you (theoretically) have the advantage, because what she can possibly do has just been GREATLY narrowed. And all of her Drive finishers leave her open for punishment. D isn't an "auto win" button like TM would like you to believe.

Only that it was never said D is a auto-win button and you're just making up stories.

How is it anything like Valk's wolf form? Wolf Form gives one of the best movement options in the game to one of the slowest characters and offers for a ton of tricky mix ups, tech traps with his command grab or simply to get out of a corner or away from an opponent or even just a way to approach them.

Noel's drive gives you a second set of normals and access to a few special moves, it really doesn't deserve to be compared to something that's alot more complicated (Valk's wolf form).

And D isn't an auto win button because I stomp Noel's who try that into the ground, which is like all of them :U

Nobody said that, just that Noel is super easy, which she is.

Drive = 2 movesets.

Noel - Chain Revolver
Valk - Wolf form
Litchi - Staff / No staff

You push D, then A, B, and C do something different. But Noel can't push D again and go back to normal.
