The lighting however makes it look a lot lighter than it is. It's a sort of dark green closer to the blue side of the colour scale I think.

and derp, above mage is male. I am basically blind.

Doubt it. Look at their hats, they're the same as Nine's, so assumably they're in that little mage group Nine is in. I'mma assume they're like, number Seven and Eight in the group or something.
Also the girl will interact with Jin/Hakumen a lot throughout the story, I assume.

No, the proper name for the colour would ether be Deep Fir or Cardin Green, to the best of my knowledge! It's got quite a low hue.

Why those 3? Phantom refused to attack Jin in CS and Hazama mentioned the smell of Jubei on him.
