It means the game doesn't work in all countries, It'll only work in the country of origin.

basically you know how there was the JP (Japan) release of Extended; and that there will also be the NA (America) and EU (Europe) , those are regions.

Region lock is where something, a console like the Xbox or even DVD players, wont play something from outside its Region


so if you bought an DVD player from your local shop, it would be Region locked to EU, which means it will NOT play any DVD's you have imported from America (NA) or Japan (JP)

same with an Xbox

I live in England so my Xbox is EU , so it would not play a JP copy of Extended, as its from a different Region



PS3 however is NOT Region locked, so it will play anything.
