After the new update, Tager's Mission 9 is unbeatable due to the new challenge mode's magnetism mechanics. The mission is exactly the same as it was in CS1. You are supposed to rapid out of 2D to gain magnetism, follow it up with a 6A, 2C, AC, AC, but because you are unable to magnetise your opponent (challenges are either set to a permanently magnetised opponent or no magnetism whatsoever, even if a magnetising move was used), the next Atomic Collider isn't able to drag the opponent back towards you so you can hit the 6B, 2C, AC, B Sledge, Gadget Finger...making the challenge unbeatable.

It is, however, funny to watch the AI Tager attempt the combo. He ends up doing a bunch of random moves.

Why would they just decide to have either permanent or nonexistent magnetism? I can't find the logic in it.

Remember in CS1? There was a challenge where the opponent had to be magnetised so you could do the basic collider>collider whiff>2b>2c>collider etc. combo, and it only works on magnetised opponents. Hence why you had to hit them with a drive move before the actual challenge to gain magnetism properties.

I guess they added, "Infinite Magnetism" on those challenges, so players wouldn't have to hit the opponent with a drive move before hand before doing the actual challenge. (I don't know which challenge but in one of Tager's CS2 challenges you can see it that the opponent is magnetised from the start till FOREVER) They probably forgot to add that "Infinite Magnetism" thing to challenge 9. So it's either "Infinite Magnetism" or "Non Magnetism at all".

exactly what falco said, except that i think that they didn't forget to add magnetism to challenge 9, they made a careless mistake. my guess is that they thought "well, 2d will magnetize, so we're lazy and we dont need to enable magnetism" when making challenge 9. adding on to what falco said, u cant magnetize bang in ANY challenge unless it is enabled
