I'm not sure what an art honors class is :c Don't thiiink we have them in the UK, but I can give some general art class tips.

Avoid comparing yourself and your work to other people. It really doesn't help anything, and it'll leave you feeling depressed. It's better to just try your best and ignore what other people are doing.

THOUGH watching other people or asking other people "how they did something" is a good way to learn new things. Unless it's a non-open class and you can only do what the teacher says.

Even if a teacher disagrees with you, it doesn't mean you're wrong. Art is incredibly opinionated, even in schools and college teachers base everything they say, do and teach off their own personal opinion on art and stuffs.

Take inspiration from the things you already like if you're given the option to. It makes working a lot easier and a lot more fun and sometimes more rewarding.

ALWAYS push yourself out your comfort zone. I have a personal issue with this that I need to work on T _T;; but yeah, don't limit yourself to one medium. Try out everything you're given the option to. Buuuut, remember what your limits are, because then later on in the line you can work on improving them.

Art Honors is pretty much Art Class with homework every night
I pretty much went to my teacher to get in, because I wanted to do a serious art class. But my mom knows I'm a lazy kid so she keeps telling me not to fuck around. My teacher said sorta the same thing, minus the bad language lol. So I have to actually WORK. But I'm happy it's something I like at least.

I'd comment on the MLP pic but I dont watch is so IDK what to say XD
I like the eyes, but the paper and the pillows look wonky :I

Ahhh I see... sounds like every single art class in England... O _O All art classes here have homework every day... though we don't usually have lesson every day apart from at university level.
