Going by the videos posted lately, what does everyone think Rachel's tier ranking should be? I'm going to go with mid B.

I'd say mid B as well.

Not as strong as CT or CS2 because of her lower combo rate and higher proration.

Still godlike compared to CS 1 Rachel though

Everything is high tier compared to CS 1 Rachel lol.

But seriously I would place her at around mid to high B. She doesn't exactly hit that hard, but her with her pressure and oki setups and not to mention her amazing corner game, she is definitely a strong character.

I don't know if I'd use the word strong, but she's nowhere near pathetic. Considering there's 19 characters, she's still falls into the lower half. Perhaps higher up on it, though. I still think she's better than Jin, Makoto, Tsubaki, and possibly Platinum. I feel so bad for Tsubaki players lol.

Tsubaki doesn't have it that bad, but she deserves better. Rachel definitely has more going for her in terms of overall potential.

She is top B\Low A, no arguments.

Rachel's damage is still good, her pressure is godlike, her mixups is godlike, her rushdown is strong, her zoning is strong. Her only "weakness" is that her reversal has autoguard instead of INV frames and that she needs wind to do stuff.

I definitely don't see low A. All the ways to break guard primers and loss of after untechable time really hurt her. Her damage is still good, yes, but compared to what most of the cast can dish out on her it's pretty weak. In addition, she gets really low average damage with windless combos and she needs to expend her wind just to get through her opponent's defenses, allowing for less wind to combo with. Her best combos that actually hit 3k+ require at least 2 wind stock. I guess I could see the argument for high B, but she just doesn't seem good enough to be A tier when compared to the rest of the cast.

....yeah i think youre underestimating how much of a weakness that is really

and she doesnt have any reliable way to get out of pressure
she is...absolutely nowhere near A imo, compared to A LOT of the other chars, dont really know how you got to that

Yeah Rachel has very few options without wind which makes it essential to manage how much you are using to actually get in, then using whatever you have left to do damage. Then when you compare how easy it is for other characters, like Mu, to do tremendous damage without much trouble against her, Rachel literally cannot be A tier.
