I feel kinda bad discussing Litchi when this is supposed to be a Carl board -_-. Oh well.

Terumi flat out said "I'M EEEVVVVILLLL!!" out of blue. No more proofs needed. On the other hand, do you see Litchi flat out saying, "I'M KIIIIIND!"? No, right?

Well, putting myself in Litchi's shoes, I would do what I can to those people that cared about me so they don't feel betrayed. Write a letter maybe, or giving them an apology. Telling them about Arakune would also be an option (I'll just make it short and not dabbling to scientific things that they won't understand), so if Kokonoe failed me, there's always another moral support.

What Litchi was doing right now was like if she's coming back to Orient Town, she's saying "The Litchi you knew never existed. This is the real me. Self-serving and completely selfish. You're all insignificant when compared to the one person I love."

As said, her unconditional treatment for Ragna might be just another act for her to keep up the face of 'Kind Doctor'. While it might not resurface clearly now, perhaps Terumi can tweak it if he feels like mind-raping her.

Sector Seven may be bad... but they can't get any worse than NOL... so long as NOL stores Terumi (and/or Relius). It can only get worse than NOL if suddenly Terumi (and/or Relius) defects to Sector Seven. Perhaps BB is made of Gray morality scale, but there's one clear black: Terumi. Anyone who associates with him will take a darker morality scale.

I suppose that the way I'm saying this was because up until now I feared that Litchi will completely give in to the dark side, rather than being reluctant and out of necessity and this will be shown at the True End, the reason why I didn't quite touch Continuum Shift for some time. I fear that seeing her like this will completely destroy my liking to her. I REALLY want to like her the same way again...!

Oh, but isn't that just what Terumi would say if he only wanted to sound evil? The argument carries no real weight I'm afraid.

People tend to do what they can to help the ones they love most, even at the cost of the populace. If you can't understand that then maybe you just haven't felt that way yourself about anyone yet.

What, you fell in love with someone? Perhaps you are right. I haven't felt that way to anyone, thus I'm more of a man of moral than a man of love, I will never sacrifice any. Therefore, even if I fall in love madly with someone, I will NEVER sacrifice the populace just for the sake of that one love. I will save that lover, and still keep my name clear for the populace. I'm not someone as petty as one who will let the world be destroyed if it lets me be with one I love. Sounds idealistically stupid, right? Then again, this is me.

Many people who did that (let the world burn if it means together with lover) are mostly portrayed unsympathetically. In this case, perhaps you do admit that Litchi has been unsympathetic, because she'd rather help an organization that will destroy the world and will probably stay that way even if she knows the extent of its vileness. Because everything else is insignificant to her, except Arakune, thus it's completely okay for her to see them destroyed, as long as they leave Arakune alone for cure. She might not think like that, but... well, Actions speak louder than words. And her actions do seem to support that notion.

Funny thing is that during her segment of 'Help Me Dr Kokonoe', she's told to think calmly and rationally. And joining NOL is the 'calm and rational' choice? The 'calm and rational' choice is "Join a world-destroying organization and participate in destroying the world, discarding whatever moral you had!"? Gee...

Yet Bang is probably madder in terms of love to Litchi, compared to her and Arakune; yet he still manages himself better. And this is supposed to be the over-the-top idiot guy.

Still, if it's love on normal circumstances, I could tolerate it. Even I could tolerate Litchi's love to Arakune. But when that love makes you reveal that you're not a good guy after all... it's bad news. Maybe Litchi isn't inherently evil... more 'neutral' actually, but it's still a betrayal from what I thought she was (good), and it's still pretty bad on my book. I got too used seeing Litchi as a good person, and when she reveals that she's more neutral than good... I... you know.

Or perhaps, I've been looking at her at the wrong way. From the point of view of love, Litchi perhaps is doing the right thing in the name of saving the one you love. However, from a moral standpoint, what she is doing is utterly inexcusable and she has fallen. Thus... perhaps I should look at her from love standpoint rather than moral standpoint?

(Ugh... I talked a lot, and probably made myself look like an idiot...)

Oh my God I can't believe a Carl topic has 6 pages. But.. and I saw this coming.. only about 10% of it is actually talking about Carl........ yyeah.

Anyway I'm one of those people who likes Carl a lot, he's one of my favorite characters of all time. I love his character design and his attachment to Nirvana, (I have a soft spot for duos like that). I even just like Nirvana as a character as well, their character designs appeal to me in different ways.

But I know there's plenty of people who absolutely despise Carl, which kinda grates on my nerves sometimes, but like most Carl fans, I've grown desensitized to it.

I'm assuming that most people hate Carl because 1. they just plain think he's annoying, no changing it, or 2. they are getting the totally wrong impression of him and they don't take the time to look into him and think otherwise, because the damage has already been done. Or worse.. a mix of 1 and 2.

But BTW.. Whether you guys like him or not, PLEASE don't say that Carl makes top hats look bad.. EVER.. AGAIN! Lol.. I wear a real top hat in RL and I think Carl's top hat is awesome. It has a freaking steel sheet on it! Enough said! So you can't tell me his hat's not cool or it makes top hats look BAD. I quote, "Now you've gone too far." :/ "He's only a kid and still manages to be more awesome than you'll ever be". His top hat is no exception.

/top hat rant.. Sorry about that.

LOL!! *headdesk* Well your comment made me laugh. XD But come on now, you guys know Carl's top hat wouldn't look better on anybody else. Only Carl can pull off wearing a purple top hat right. You must agree that that brings him up a few points. And who doesn't want a huge robot for a sister?

It's like Kamina's shades. You can't separate Kamina's shades from Kamina. Nor should you with Carl's hat. Just accept it. It's because you all wish you had it, only to realize that you too wouldn't ever look as good in it. You also suddenly realize that your robotic sister would never be as epic as Nirvana. Which is what you guys were worried about.. you don't want to submit to Carl's awesomeness.
