So I see a lot of people talking about how hard this is and how they can't get through the first few battles, but is there any record of anyone anywhere at any time ever having beat this mode?

From what I've heard it sounds like it's impossible or something.

Not at all. I've gotten up to Mu a few times, but either got wrecked too fast to (pause and) press start, or just got tired of steins spam and ridiculous button reads. I could probably beat the thing if I really wanted too, but it's too much rage and... Well, rage, to be worth the effort imo.
