Yes I'm a noob, and proud of it. After turning my back on Street Fighter, I've found the love of Blazblue, and thusly want to understand some things I haven't found anywhere else. I've seen on the DLC "Unlimited" characters, but I didn't know they were limited in the first place, lol. Is having Unlimited characters worth it? What does it mean to be Unlimited? Thanks a bunch in advance maties, fair skies and calm seas to you:)

Having an Unlimited character is basically having the broken version of the character. To put in layman terms, a powered up version of the character.

Is it worth it? It's up to you. You can obtain them without buying them, but buying them is the easy/lazy/stupid way to get them. Unless you absolutely can't beat Score Attack.

You can unlock the unlimited version of a character by completing score attack with them fyi. And Unlimited means differant things for differant characters. If you go into the character sections of this site there is a post that tells what is differant. Basically all unlimited versions are completely over powered versions of the character. They can be fun to mess around with but unless permitted by a player room, cant be used online.

Unlimited characters means it's something like their "True form".


Did you ever play arcade mode? Or score attack?


In score attack you fight every character, but Ragna,Hazama, Hakumen and Rachel are in their unlimited forms. Which means they are much stronger and have way better attributes.

Such as Hakumen replenishes his Magatama meter really fast and does more damage, Ragna leeches more health and is constantly in Blood Kain mode.

Hazama has a ring around him that makes him leech health from the enemy.


If they are worth it? Well you can only use them if a player room has them enabled. They are pretty much only for your enjoyment to have funny matches with friends.


Note that you can get EVERY unlimited version of a character if you beat their coresponding score attack mode....

For example if you want Ragna's unlimited form, you have to beat score attack with him. If you want Jin's unlimited form, you have to beat score attack him him etc etc.
