So I was having a date the other day with Bang Shishigami in a ranked match on Xbox Live. It was quite the occasion. Both of us were quite well at what we do, me a Lambda at around level 45, and he a Bang at around 50, enjoying Ronin-gai in the afternoon sun.

During our excursion of passion and love, for roughly 80 seconds of each round we encountered together, I literally ran this way and that way, his attacks obviously superior in speed to mine, and my only option to run, backdash, sway, shimmy, do a somersault while that dastardly negative warning cascaded over me.

I'm curious, my fellow Lambda users, do such events happen to you as well, in a round where the only option you have is to run and dash away the entire match and prey he messes up a rushdown movement or you don't unluckily get bodied or catch a kick to the face.

P.S. I also think Lambda and Bang look good together... for some odd reason lol xD.

Gravity seed could work, but he punishes bad. And he's very fast, so predicting it is quite troublesome. I was just giving a small run down of a recent fight I had with a Bang where I had to continuously retreat.

P.S. And yes she does, quite the hotty in a suit of armor, I'm curious, is she an android or human, I never delved deep into that.

Lol, I remember fighting you on Ranked but I couldn't place the Tag to a name on the forum. I guess that explains it.

Anyways, gravity seed is a tool you should get used to using. As well as counter assault or calamity sword. You should be saving the heat you use to counter Bang instead of extending attack strings.

(also 5C is just asking for a counter, so use it sparingly)

Yes, I remember, interesting fight. Litchi's are still tough for me since they're faster than I can keep up with. The bad thing about Bang is that he has a lot priority and he's fast, so I seldom use my swords since if they whiff he'll get me in some kind of combo. I wish I could upload the replay of my retreating battle of Bang, but I learned the instant air dash is your friend that day.

Oh and I won that match with that Bang by retreating lol. I had negative penalty he entire fight, I bet he was pissed he could never catch me. I ruined our clandestine love affair!

Lambda is basically an artificial human. As for when I am facing Bang, if he's pissing me off with his pressure, I actually try to rush him and not let him breathe, I wouldn't recommend it though.

this is pretty much the worst matchup for Lambda. Use gravity seed seed sparingly, as it can be baited easier then most DP's. Although Strings you can IB Gravity are IB5A>2A and IB 5A> 5B. Your main safe zoning tools are 214D and j.D/2D. Its good to still use 6D and j.2D but be aware that bang can counter these with his drive so be smart when your using it. Make sure to 2D any cross up attempts that do not involve bumbers on reaction landing it can grant you 4k+ damage.otherwise block to the best of your abbility Lambda does not have many options when shes defending against Bang unlike Ragna.

Artificial Human huh? That's pretty cool, I'd totally date her, since she's not robotic, but now I'm curious as to how she was created, perhaps in the same manner as Noel.

I've tried the reverse Lambda rush down a few times, doesn't work out too well on most occasions, especially against Bang, since his attacks are fast and those nails give him run when needed. If he didn't have that second dash I could guarantee air superiority over him at times, but when he does it, it makes me whiff and I take a 3-5k combo and get corner humped the entire game.

Bad spoiler, since I have to scroll down to hit reply, but I do remember such a thing. The confusing thing is how they came into being, the whole Murokumo and such and such unit situation confuses me, I guess it'd delve too deep off topic which is to discuss ways and means to defeat Bang at a lover's meeting.

So all those things Kaoru mentioned seemed as though you'd have to perform a bit flawlessly or hope the Bang makes a number of mistakes. Is there a good way to counter his superior speed and priority or is it basically a guessing game? Honestly I have a better chance against him than I do Taokaka only because he's slightly slower than her, but makes up for that with stronger attacks.

Perhaps I should practice with a good Taokaka, then I'll be able to handle any Bang that runs my way.

Bang is just a rather good counter in general to Lambda.
