 Post subject: Match Ups?

Since Lambda is somewhat different from her predecessor I was wondering about her match up changes, as before it was just Beat That Ass, Break That Ass and then Bury That Ass.

As Lambda players will need more match up help than they did previously feel free to ask your own questions here too ;)

I personally am struggling very hard against Litchi. I find it very hard to keep her out, and when she gets in I can't get away to point where I can start my ranged game again. Any ideas people?

I'm a Litchi moreso than a Lambda, but I can at least part this bit of general wisdom on you when you fight a Litchi (one who knows what their doing one at least).

While you're trying to just keep Litchi away from you, Litchi is trying to bring you to and keep you in, the corner. My overriding goal in every match I play is:

1. Get in your dead zones and use my reach to poke you into a combo

2. Use that combo to bring you to the corner

3. Keep you there where I can do the most damage

Counter Assault is great but heat seems to gain slower in this game than in the last one so by the time I have it i'm almost dead... What would be the best ways to keep her off of me?

Jdietz43, what attacks would you normally use to close the gap? Can you give me a clue as to what I need to be looking out for?

Lambda's Sickle Storm is one thing that gets me in trouble a lot... When it whiffs Lambda seems to take a life time to recover, is this move worth using? If it is, how and when? It doesn't chain like it did in BBCT. It is very easy to jump over even when chained to 5DD 4DD.

The problem for you is that if the Litchi knows what they're doing, they'll be able to reach you with the staff before other charaters would be able to. I.e my 6B and 2B reach a little farther than your 5C would etc. so it may just be that you don't quite know that you're already in danger when you are. Actual gap closing for Litchi is more like one tap dash rather than a cross screen sprint, I don't have to be in throw range before you should be worried.

I can also fling my staff to disrupt you while I close distance, or if I'm desperate I can place the staff and use Kong on Kong to catapult myself to you. I rarely ever have to do this though, I doubt you'd encounter it often or at all. If you aren't paying attention I'll just fly in with j.B too.

Also, when the staff is placed, be careful for the Four Winds attack. It's the one where the staff starts spinning like crazy and makes a grey circle, since it will stop you from doing anything as I can come waltzing in to attack or grab you.

Also I realized during my matches with Shalindria that All Green basicly eats you while you try and use swords of any kind if I've positioned myself with 50 heat. Careful.

All Green cancels anything. Except for a 720. The 720 sometimes glitches the fuck out and everything just goes batshit crazy and then you're randomly dead.

Also, Four Winds is only useful for zoning. It takes time to start accelerating and for it to come back, and it doesn't combo, so yeah.
