I'm an XBOX 360 User which has forgotten how to play with a pad since it has been a lot of time since I last played a fighting game on a console...

meanwhile, I've been playing some fighting games with my keyboard and i've gotten very used to it so I would really like to continue playing with a keyboard.

The main problem is that I haven't found a single keyboard user that can tell me anything about a good adapter for the XBOX 360. so, as buying one of those can be very expensive I thought I should start getting used to the pad (because i've played with a joystick rercently and I couldn't get anything right with it).

During my search I've found a lot of different options:

- The SF4 fightpad

- PS2 pad + Etokki

- Saturn pad + Etokki

- This pad

So... can you recomend me any pad to play blazblue?

Hmm, considering you've been playing on keyboard the only sort of peripheral that I can reccommend for you would be the hitbox which looks like this:

however there is some contreversy on these sticks right now because they can help you pull off some things that a player couldn't normally pull off using a regular pad or joystick. and im not sure if you could use them in tournaments either, however if you're not planning on going to any tournaments then go ahead and get one of these.

The other thing I would recommend is trying out a fightstick, like the madcatz TE or eightarc.

As for pad I would say go for the sf4 fightpad.

Although honestly you should really use whichever you feel the most comfortable with, you can be good on any kind of peripheral, it doesnt matter whether you use pad or stick really because you can be good with either.

How does that work? where are the directional buttons mapped?

My main problem as a player is getting used to "change my hands". When you are using a keyboard, the movement is done by the right hand and the buttons are pushed by the left hand and on a pad or a fightstick, is the opposite...

you put 3 of your fingers on the red button and your thumb and the big fat one. bear in mind that you can actually get some done custom made so that the directions are on the right side, with the button inputs on the left (although that will most de3ffinately cost you alot more)

also I just remembered that you can get a stick made by qanba which could help out without you having to change your hand positioning:

Oh Cool... I have some time to save some money for the hitbox so I will get it. Besides they seem to not have an XBOX360 version for it yet

Hmmm. I hope the time will come when people accepts this peripheral, cause I would really like to get in some tournament but I don't have the time to start getting used to a whole new system like the stick.

Any pad I can use while they develop it?

Thank you in advance...

You're welcome bruce, myself personally id like to see it get more exposure at tournaments, but that being said it does make certain things which seem nigh impossible to do on any other kind of controller and so the concern for such a kind of thing is understandable.

You can actually get them for the 360, in fact you can get some hitboxes that work on any console platform. Now as for pad, I'd suggest using your 360 pad for the time being.

honestly I can't remember where you can get them from, however you can ask somebody to build one for you (which costs alot unfortunately) or you could ask around the tech talk section over at srk:

Unfortunately I cant say anything more on that Im afraid youre gonna have to do a bit of searching on that yourself, sorry I cant help out much more than that.

I have a keyboard + mouse adapter for my Xbox, but I dont remember who makes it. I never use it (long story, I'm on a cell phone) so if you wanna buy it from me, I'll sell for cheap.
