Q:Why do you write those movesets?
A: Because I like to. Its one way to put my head to work, and it expands on the characters I love so much.
Q:Who do you write movesets about?
A: Mainly my own OCs. Due to lack of interest for the most part on the movesets, I find myself with little motivation to write them for existing characters people know. That may change in the future, but I have my doubts about that.
Q:If there is lack of interest then why do you even bother? And why not post them in other sites instead to see if they gather interest there?
A1:Lack of interest does not mean zero interest, thankfully. Very specific individuals actually read the movesets, even if not all of them understand the frame data in it. After all, the movesets are a combination of both the character's profile and the actual moveset, so interest can be aimed towards one, the other or both.
A2:Sadly, there is no other place to post these. Sites like Dustloop and Shoryuken allow only things like fanart at best as far I know, and more casual sites often lack interest in these movesets to begin with due to the frame data and sheer size of them.
Q:Can I post these on other sites for you?
A: Only if you give full credit to me and re-direct them to this site. Edits are also not allowed, although changing the format to fit the site better can be discussed. You must also contact me before doing so, and you obviously need my permission after all of that. If you can't comply to any of these, then no deal. Don't try anything funny either, I can get your ass in jail for stealing such things.
Q:I noticed you always add 3 placeholders, but often only use 2!
A: The placeholders stand for guide, 'overpowered version' and changelog respectively. Very often I see no need to change frame data after the character's moveset is finished, while the first two placeholders are always used. Sometimes it happens however, so better to play safe.
Q:What sort of feedback are you looking for?
A: Any! The fact you even bother to read any of those is a big deal for me. I like 'this is cool' posts just as much I like constructive criticism and feedback on the actual movesets. Obviously you are also allowed to give negative feedback, although I would enjoy if you stated your reasons, and in the case of criticism, the logic behind it and what do you think it could be done about it.
Q:Can I help in any way?
A: Of course! Any sort of help is welcome, for after all I'm only a single person. Balance and grammar help are the ones I need the most, because sometimes I just let stuff slip by. Other things like helping me improve the format are also appreciated. In the end though, if you think you can help in any way then you can contact me and say what you have in mind. Obviously you can PM me here and I would appreciate if you used that as our main way of contact unless its a long term partnership, but I also have Skype and Chatango if that is your call.
Q:I am curious about 'X' character, can you tell me anything about it?
A: Ask away, either by PM or in the character's respective thread. I'm more than glad to answer any questions related to any of my characters, and sometimes mention things even when no one asks them.
Q:There is a character you never wrote about in the VS. quotes of 'X' character!
A: Just because I didn't write a moveset for the character yet doesn't mean said character is not related to one I DID write about already. Obviously this goes hand to hand with the previous question and you are more than free to ask about them. Chances are that I WILL write a moveset about any characters mentioned in someone's VS. quotes, but these take time and effort. If a lot of people show interest in a specific character however then that is definitely going to motivate me.
A: I didn't steal shit. It is no secret I based a lot of things on already existing concepts, but that would be like saying all anti-heroes were based on the very first existing one, or all white haired main characters are a Dante(Devil May Cry) knockoff. If you see something really similar in one of my characters to something in a existing one, it may or may not have been based on it, or it might be a reference, or even a parody. If you're curious then just ask, but know I don't steal stuff.
Q:These movesets suck!
A: Your problem. If you think you can help me improve them then great, but if you simply don't like them then there is nothing I can do for you.
Q:What can you tell me about yourself and your reasons for writing all of this?
A: I'm just a 17 years old teenager with a lot of time to burn and a fertile imagination. I enjoy writing and fighting games, and after reading so much frame data in the Dustloop wiki while liking the format they use, I put two and two together and decided to start writing movesets. My love for fighting game dates back to when I was much younger and played Tekken 3 on my PS1. I went to arcades at least once every week as well, and one of my favorite games was a 3D mecha fighter I always burned through all my coins in it. The final boss was a bitch, but then again I sucked at it. We move on a few years later and there is me getting Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus for the PS2. I didn't take fighters seriously by that point, but I loved playing the game and the character designs were pretty awesome.
After a while I found out about Blazblue just a little while after CS1 was released, found this forum, and the rest is history. I started writing movesets using Blazblue's engine and frame data, but moved on and made a new one based on it to fit my tastes and add more competitive value to it, such as removing tech rolls. I guess you could nutshell me as a guy that played fighters since he was young and wanted to do something related to them with his writing skills. I love my characters, I love writing, and I love fighting games, so by putting all of those together I get the best end of the deal.
If you want to know about my personality and the type of person I am in specific, I'm afraid that is not something you can just tell someone and be very accurate about it. I guess I'm a fairly logical, witty guy that likes to remain neutral about things. I'm realistic but optimistic, and one of the most brutally blunt guys you will find. My ego is also really huge, although not exactly misplaced. Some may argue about that, though. I guess you could ask around the place as well since most people know me, but if you are that curious then you might as well hang out with me so that we get to know each other instead.
Q:What does 'NSFAQ' stands for?
A: Not so frequently asked questions. Joke related to how little interest any of this gathers and how nobody really asks any of these, but I felt like writing it anyway.
Q:I would like to know...
A: If there is any question anyone has that is not found in the OP, you are more than free to ask here. If asked enough or is something big I missed out, it will be added to the OP right away.
