It's just out of personal interest, really. It's really neat reading analyses of characters I understand, and especially getting an idea of the learning curves, lol. No rush though, if I thought you should cut straight to Mu I'd be throwing a shitstorm up in here. xD

I would put Mu's high level learning curve as hard, not intermediate. Execution wise she's not too bad, but the thing is she becomes difficult when you factor in steins to the mix. You have to have great awareness of where your steins are at all times and how long ago they were placed. Not just that but you have to know WHEN it's safe to put them out, WHO it's safe to put them out against at what times. What makes her hard is she has to approach most of her matchups VERY differently. So just cause you can do her combos, it won't matter if you don't know how to deal with other people.

A good example (but certainly not the only one) is that usually at match start, Mu can do dash 2B, 5C, Habaya, etc against a good amount of the cast. However, when challenging FAST characters like Tsubaki, all of those become unsafe. Her 22A match start option makes doing anything other than high jump or backdash a REAL gamble.

You also have to know how her moves prorate. Say you pick a combo up off of a random laser hit or explosion. You have to know just how much that initial hit prorated your combo so you don't blackbeat it, meaning you HAVE to know Mu's data. It has to become second nature.

She has a LOT of making things up on the fly, so if you don't know her inside and out, you won't be effective with her. You also have to be SUPER aware of her lasers, because they can either help or hinder Mu. Because if you're not paying attention the entire time the lasers can totally fuck up your combos.

At high levels, I would peg Mu as one of the hardest characters in the game. She is a very cerebral character and you have to know not only Mu's options but the rest of the cast as well. I can set up 2 steins in neutral easily against characters like Hakumen, Tager or Arakune, but it's very risky to even use her drive if you're fighting Tao, Tsubaki or Noel.

She requires LOTS of time an dedication to play on a high level. She has so many things she can do, even some of the best Mu players are still figuring her out.

Also, she does way more than just zoning. She's also a trap character, and has amazing lockdown when you combine her awesome normals and lasers. :3 Given the right setup she actually can RTSD. She also rapes guard primers and has a GDLK corner game.

Well, other than that things will be so intense once I near higher levels and skill of play, but... It's Mu, so I'll stick with it. :s

Glad you like it. ^^ Mu is an amazing character with SO much potential. She's whats called a sleeper character. Shes still brand new to the Japanese arcade scene and is severely underplayed, so we don't know everything about her yet. Once we find out more she'll start becoming a bigger threat.

She's a lot of work but stick with it, she's worth it.

Thank you, that means a lot coming from a senior Mu player. :)

By the way though, about your avatar and sig, lol... What was it like doing or getting someone to do the palette changes? I'm having a fun time trying to get the same done for DLC color 4. lol
(I guess I could or should PM that, but eh)

(edit: though the avatar certainly looks like it was colored that way, so I'm asking about the sig)

Did the color edits myself, sig and avatar. ^^ As much as I love Mu's normal scheme the yellow one has a special place in my heart, so I feel the need to rep it no matter what.

And I dunno if I'd call myself a senior Mu player. xD I've been playing her since around October of last year, but technically started fresh when CS2 came out. I don't think I'm that good yet. ^^;;

Aha, nice... I'm jealous of whatever editing abilities you have, and that you are enabled to edit at all (I miss my Photoshop trial, after taking a graphic design class lol), lol. And you started with her 10 months ago, while I started about 3 ago. Regardless of whether you're a senior among Mu players, you're certainly my senior. :p
And I agree. Mu's base colors are beautiful, as is the one you're fond of. I pretty much switch between DLC 4/white and pink, and yours (pretty much, when I want her skin and a proper look at dat ass, or just when i want some bolder colors), I sometimes use the black-armor, green-eyes one sometimes, and I've started using normal color 3 for it's overall pleasant look and purple Cs.

So anyway, I'm rambling. My point being that the white/pink scheme is to me what yours is to you, so I'm patiently trying to get someone to hook me up. lol

If you got an image you like of her I can edit that for you when i find the spare time. ^^

And I have to agree on that. ACtually use this color cause I prefer her without the body suit. I like the way it looks. (I'm lady and still think she's one sexy thing!) The body suits look like she's totally COVERED in stuff to me...and reminds me far too much of Nu/Lambda. But don't get me wrong, I have a few bodysuit colors I like. :3 Particularly the blue/teal DLC "easter" color as I call it lol.

anyways I'm gonna end this discussion here as we've ventured waaay off topic. Any more chatting regarding DAT AZZ shall be in her general thread. ^^
