On my way back home from work i had an idea. i was going over in my head the annoyances of bad connections while playing online and thought to myself how can we overcome this hindrance?

During a previous thread i made, there was a lot of discussion regarding download and upload speed. you can find the thread here:

In that thread i made a post talking about ISP's ripping us off on upload speed's compared to download speeds. Thus i have come up with an experiment which in theory should provide us all with an improvement to connections if i can find some volunteers willing to test and report on this to me?

So here is the theory behind it all:

When it comes to hosting on xbox live or PSN a decent upload speed is required e.g a person with an upload of 512kb/s can only host a stable match on COD with 6-8 players, but with 1mb/s they could potentially host double that number of 6-8 players with a faster connection. now when we bring this example over to BB you may think even less is required because you can only have up to 6 people in a room, but more upload bandwidth is required due to a lot more input information being sent at any single time.
taking the above as a general rule and comparing it to the above thread in the link... ^ up there somewhere i have found that there are quite a few people with large upload speeds of 3mb/s+ which if utilized effectively could allow us to see a greater increase in playable connections (1 and 2 +).

So here is the plan people!

If we follow the above as a rule of thumb we should see an increase in the availability of 1 and 2+ connections overseas and long distance and 3's and 4's for the same regions/ country's while taking part in player matches. As for ranked matches there's not a lot we can do, sorry.

Here are my results-

Download speed: 14.mb/s

Upload speed: 0.82mbps

So in my case i would best be suited to joining a room hosted by someone with a a higher upload rate, because i will be able to download the information just as quickly as they can upload it. but i could get away with hosting matches to players in my country and nearby country's (France, Germany, Sweden etc...) for a max connection of 2-3.

(see what i mean about the difference between up and down speeds though?)

there's no winning or losing in an experiment guys lol. just results.

you two would do best to stick to joining room's rather then hosting them by the way.
