i do like playing zone style, but admittedly i need practice with it. i t works well with me because off my rush preference. i can condition an opponent into my zoning moves then rush in for some hardcore close range combo damage when they least expect it. thats why i liked Nu in CT even though i was not very experienced with her combos and movesets. i still managed to win a lot with her from my playstyle.
The problem with Nu was (oh god please let's not derail this thread into a Nu discussion) that she couldn't really do anything up close and her projectiles where the only way to play her, by shutting down the opponent completely. That didn't work out well and if you think about it from a theoretical point of view something like that is pretty much impossible to balance.
Lambda can actually do stuff up close, so she is a big improvement in my opinion.
