I feel as though they just scrambled it up again. Instead of it being Nu and Arakune/Rachel, it was Litchi and bang. Now its Jin Noel and Makoto.

I really dislike how Noels Drive moves became as good as using her normals...

Why 5a if you can mash drive just as safely and for more damage?\




On the plus side, though... I like that bang is way more technical now. He has some really amazing bumper stuff in the corner.

I also like that I can play Jin as if hes a grappler. Its fun.

Ragna & Bang is overall pretty balanced compared to CS or CT although Bang needs a slight damage buff IMO. Lambda got a new loop now and is kinda more technical and fun to play. Overall I'm pretty much happy with the patch except for Makoto & Noel lulz

It's really gonna suck for us Ragna or Bang players when we face D spam Noels in CS2.

She still lacks range and has shit pokes, and her mix up game is terrible.



Same with Jin, Jin is the same as CS1, with easier corner combos for the same damage.




EDIT: Bang does not need a damage buff.

Bang gets a solid 2k on crouching and over 2k on standing opponents. He gets at least 1 seal per combo (on both standing or crouching) and 2 seals on standing opponent with 1 seal.


Bang gets, IN FRKZ, midscreen 4k combos from ANYTHING except 2A, yes that is right.

Bang gets, 6k in the corner while gaining additional 50 heat throughout the combo, from anything.

Bang has still his crazy pressure game going, aswell as bumpers.

Still has a 2k command throw

Still goes into 5k midscreen from air grab with 50 heat and regains 30-40 heat in the process.

The only thing Bang sucks at now is daifunka, he can't follow it up anymore.

Bang also gets 4K midscreen with the right spacing and if heavenly phoenix connects to the corner (see challenge 7 I think)

He is still versatile, without the compabillity to mash the same damn auto combo and get 3k from it. Bang is fine, he does not need any buffs, if you want to buff him. Make daifunka combos possible again, everything else will just make him broken again.


Nobody is broken in this game or is terrible. Makoto is the only one that is a little close to Litchi, but she still sucks sorta.

Noel has the damage, but not the mixup game and range

Jin is the same like CS1 as I said above, he lost Oki options with 3c>236C but instead gained B ice car to knock down again so he has the same Oki imo.

Well balance patch or not, some stuff does annoy me. Arakune did not need any buffs, yet now curse activates way too easy. I also was just getting ready to main Hazama but the patch completely changed his combo system, I especially dislike the loss of chaining from his throws, like forward throw into Hungry Coils. He's still amazing don't get me wrong but I just can't use his new style so I switched to Hakumen.

Overall though the patch is nice and has forced all of us to kind of retrain.

challenge 7 gets 3.4k, but its off of a 5a, so.. uhh idk

edit: tried it with 5b as starter, gets 4.2k

Unlimited Bang looks pretty godlike now since it's just CS1 Bang with the other unlimited stuff lol.

So yeah

I've calmed down a bit and I got to say, I'm kinda liking the new patch :)

Edit: I'm not really a big fan of Noel's changes but she isn't much OP and same could be said for Makoto
