Makoto is in her own tier by herself (until CS2+ if that happens for the consoles and if they keep many of the changes or other changes occur to the other characters). She is definitely like Ragna, but with a projectile attack that can be used for oki and she does far more damage in less hits. She is a blast to play, but takes patience and skill to master. Many characters have ways to beat her very small range, so you have to study the match-ups closely to really take advantage of her strengths.

Personally, the timings for D(3) don't seem that bad anymore... Sometimes I slip up but I still usually get all my hits in. Unless it's a random standing D, then it may just be D(2). lol
But yeah. High output, and it's not that hard to dish it out, but if you have trouble with the timings... Not so much.

Not all combos require lvl 3 drive. Some of the combos I do needs a lvl 1 2d if I want to continue it.

But like others say, makoto's a rushdown character with some similarities with ragna . imo, she doesn't have a lot of options to get in, but once she's done it she can do whatever she wants.

Okay so who should i get Makoto or Valkenhaym (man i know thats spelled wrong.) Rachel's Butler. Is he rush down character too? I only have 580ms Points so i can only get one here. lol. wish they were 180ms points but oh well.

I suggest Makoto. Valk is fun but I'm told he's one of the hardest characters to learn (his wolf combos can get kinda crazy), and his defense is weak, he's all about attacking. Makoto is more... idk, but has hardcore rushdown... options, and well... Big underboob. Need I say more? I say get Makoto now, and check Valk out to decide if you ever want him later.

lol, Makoto does have that! However, try out Valkenhayn as well just for fun and see who you like using more. While I suggest Makoto because I am biased, you have to get a feel for the characters yourself. Like right now I've been getting better with Ragna recently which is pretty cool. He might soon be a full time sub for me. ^_^
