Throwing out 1 or 2 purple throws a match isn't a bad way of finishing your combos. I've seen it work in Japanese competitive play and even some Japanese players don't have the concentration and reflexes to always tech it.

Jushh, good luck dying man.

Nope, it's purple so it's useless and will always get teched

(<3)

Anyway, so purple is simply a throw mid-combo while green is a throw all on its own. I knew the difference between the two but didn't have the colorcoding in my head. Maybe now I will, lol.

that is the basic idea, but purple throw is when you throw while the enemy is on stun. that means 5A>Throw will purple even on block if you do it right away while the enemy is on blockstun(And for the next 6 frames or so). that means you have to wait a little after the 5A(but not TOO long!) before throwing or else it will come out purple.

in a nutshell a purple throw is when you throw while the enemy is stunned, either because he is on a combo or in blockstun.

Purple throws are not useless....they can be used for frame traps and such, depending on the character. Throwing mid-combo with the idea of damage alone in mind however is pretty stupid, and will only work if the enemy is not paying attention(which if he is not then you already won this battle with or without throws).

I hope you detected my sarcasm when I said purple throws are useless

But, seriously not-being-rude comment: Frame traps, you say? Like Bang BC > RC > 623C while they're in stagger, amirite?

"A frame trap is a sequence of moves where the first move's frame advantage (or disadvantage) plus the startup frames (not counting the first active frame) for the follow-up move creates a window (the frame trap) where the opponent, even if they perform a move to react, will be stuffed (or even counterhit) because the active frames of their move will not come out before the active frames of the second move of the frame trap.

Of course, this means that frame traps are opponent-dependent; not all frame traps will work on all characters, and there are certain situations where you might not have any frame traps because an opponent has a certain move which will always allow them to escape the frame trap."

Ok, i worded myself wrong. i Dind't meant Frame trap....just....putting yourself at advantage.

For example, Tao can end her combos with B+C instead of J.623B(or whatever her ATATATA with the foot is). the enemy has 2 options: not tech out and eat the damage or tech out and find himself in disavantage because Tao will have the upper hand in said situation.

But yah, it's 236

Except when playing against her.

omg, 6.2k!?!....That some next lvl Chuck Norris shit right there!!

...and since we're on the subject of legit tourney combos...

Hey Free\Squall, can one of you two post a few corner combos for Mu? i am too lazy and playing Dark souls right now.

(10.5k corner combo)
CH 6C>Bnail.c>(double gold burst)>5C>6D>623B>5B>6C>jc>j.4C>j.623B
>(reverse daifunka)>RC>5C>6D>tk>j.623C

...oh, and if you want an example of a frame trap with Bang:

5A>2A>2B(frame trappo)>5B
