UMvC3 is still better than CoD, though. At least those people have some respect for BlazBlue or at least fighting games in general.

How much I'd give for some IRL freinds who weren't like

"OMGZ HOW IS THIS EVEN FUN YOU CAN'T SHOOT PEOPLE FUCKING JAPANESE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE GOOD GAMES"

when they see a Japanese fighting game.

But yeah, BlazBlue players are difficult to find in teh realz.

seriously I live like 10 minutes away from one of our regular casual points.

My condo may also be considered somewhat a regular casual point for players from either my college or its sister college.

annnnd Sougo, our best platinum. though I rarely see him because college kicked up a notch for him.

Well my Big Bro got me in to BB from Battlefield. He mains Ragna and subs hazama but I've always played the odd fighting game like Tekken,Street Fighter and MK

Me and some friends went to this huge arcade that's not too far from Chicago - it's like the third largest in the world, or something. Anyways, we found BlazBlue on one of those arcade machine things with the joystick and the buttons, right? Wow, and I'm totally blanking on what the official word for it is, and stuff.

.. Anyways, I played as Arakune, and was delighted to discover that if I flailed on the buttons I could make these, like, colored hula hoops appear around my opponents, and basically chuck stuff at them until they died. And thus, I discovered the Drive system, and was hooked.

The boyfriend bought the game. He's a game designer, and was struck at the vastly different styles each character has, how small the roster was, how cool the characters looked, and how in-depth the story was. We have "joint custody", if you will, of the game; I borrow it mostly, and play it on my roommate's xBox, who is understandably confused at why she ends up getting all these random BlazBlue achievements.

Besides that, I truly don't know anyone else who plays. I've gotten some IRL friends to try it, and the button mashing usually ends up sending me running. No one's accidentally done a Distortion Drive or anything.

This thread reminds me of my friend who was convincing me that Dark Souls isn't an RPG because it isn't like The Elder Scrolls.

Anyways, not THAT many BB fans where I live (fucking Canada), but I know 3 guys who play it (one of them played the first one only, though).

They all main Noel for some reason.

I think you might be the only Noel fan besides me in the entire universe.

Also only one person as far as I know, he's 13 and he shares like,all of my interests, it's crazy. Everyone else is into Call of Duty and shit. It isn't bad but it's getting reeallly old by now, they should just stop making them -.-

Whom I got into it. Had him play some CS tutorial mode, lent him CT, and then when I had $20 and nothing better I wanted to spend it on, I bought him CS.

He doesn't seem to play too much most of the time, as far as I know. And when I've played him online he really just doesn't stack up as things are, so I let him use Unlimited characters and it's more fair, lol. And it seems he's getting Extend, fortunately, but... I'm afraid that he will never reach the point I'm at (particularly as he's not as passionate as I am about BB), but it's nice to have someone I can discuss it with IRL. lol
