You can do safe jump ins that block almost any ground to air move. Basically at the same time your air move goes active you also land and can instantly block. This works because of the start up your enemys move has. Either way what I meant was that your enemy can bait your reversals simply by jump cancelling it since it beats all of Noels drives. It is all playstyle specific and a Ragna player has to adapt if he eats too many defensive counters

I wouldn't call a jump cancel a sure thing. It really depends on how much attention Noel is paying. If you double jump to bait a 4D, you just have to be patient and wait for the 2nd jump to happen (or not happen).

If you jump in and block the 4D, then you need to decided if you need to wait for Chain Revolver or if you can push through right away. ID will clash with 4D so even that isn't a guarantee.

4D isn't really an anti-air

Unrelated, but 4D is an godlike anti-air on CSE because it got buffed the fuck out of it.

But the thing is, when you start Chain Revolver, anything you do after it puts you at a disadvantage. I can block the whole CR session then punish at the last hit, also a grab beats anything except for 2D.

So if you do something like 4D(block>2D> I can instantly mash a grab after that because there is no other option for you to do that beats my grab. Maybe that crossup special or whatever it's called.

Also, there IS safe jump ins, which I explained in my earlier post, it is a common technique used to bait wake-up anti airs, supers, or DPs.

Depends on what you're expecting. I can 6B for the overhead, let it get blocked, then RC into 3C for rape. Also, if Ragna uses a Burst, he only has 2 Primers left, and CR can take both if you aren't using barrier.

It's a shame Noel can't jump cancel CR anymore. I'd have loved to see it re-added in Extend.

Maybe on hit, on block it would give her too much pressure options because she could mash her drive and make it safe by simply jumping out on block.

And I was merely talking about meterless options. I can do ID>RC on ANYTHING you do, be it clash or hit and I can either go into a combo on hit, or pressure on block.

Meterless wise though, Noels CR is pretty bad.

Well CR dedicates the next 4 moves. You have a full set of moves, but half of them are slow enough to let pokes and DP through. The slowest moves are the high and low hits, which makes the most effective moves the least safe. And in Extend you cant cancel into Muzzle Flitter or Optic Barrel which makes it worse.

In CS2 you can do a CR 5B to make space, then cancel into Optic Barrel A, then jump back.
