The name's ArchMage and I'm a fellow Blazblue fan. I've been into the series ever since it first came out, but I once was and still is a fan of it's predecessor "Guilty Gear". I'm a fighting game and rpg fan who happens to like anime and comics.

As one could probably tell, my favorite character from Blazblue is none other than Relius Clover with Dr. Kokonoe running up second. I need to practice more, but Relius is my main and Taokaka is my sub.

I highly disagree with you! I've only known like a couple of people who liked Anime in my life, and I know none atm.
As for videogames, they've been around for ages and they have become mainstream for ages too. It's still pretty hard to find female gamers, where I live in any case.

The ones who stick around are the ones who relate to each other.

P.S. I liked Video Games since I was 3 yrs old and I liked Anime since I was like 6 :shock:

Video games weren't predominately in the mainstream until around the 2000s and before then, many people usually viewed video games unfavorable in the West for a number of factored reasons that caused for the rise of the ESRB. Perhaps in the 1980s and beyond then video games held a more favorable light, but definitely not in the 1990s.

Only now you would see a video game get screen time in the form of a trailer right before a big named movie in theaters. Not so much in the 1990s which signifies that video games have overall become more accepted in the mainstream rather recently.

Yes I agree with you, but I'd still say 10 years or so is quite a while, comparitively anyway!
