Oh, Shadow himself is not suppose to be a shadow, that is just what he calls himself because he doesn't have a name. To give a more detailed description of what he is: Shadow is a "Cursed" Parasite created by alchemy god knows when. He is capable of "modifying" the inside of it's host to create his own stuff, like Claws and\or blades which are completely dark in color(no pun intended) and then have them pierce their way from the inside of the host and come out from any place he wants to. It hurts just as much as you would expect, which is from where the idea of "recoil" came from. If he whiffs, he didn't stole any health(Shadow steals life on contact with anyone other than it's host), so he came back empty handed, meaning Dark got wounded for nothing. You gave me a small idea though;


Maybe when he is "regenerating" Health he gains the ability to use an "EX" version of his special attacks(I just have to make sure none of his normal Special attacks include "D" on it's input) at the cost of part of the gauge? Like, 236A(random input to use as a example) can be turned into 236D at the cost of, say, 200 hp of the gauge to give it special properties, or instead, if you want me to "take" from your ideas even further, Have the attack hit more than once because Shadow "duplicates" the attack using his ability(What would also give the special attack a special aura around it when doing so to show it's the EX version).



Let's say 236A is an attack that deals 1000 damage and has proration values of 80 P1 and 80 P2. The D version would have it hit twice, combo rate would kick in for the second hit, but the proration changes to 80(Once) P1\P2, meaning that the second hit doesn't affect the proration. So it would only count as one hit of 80 P1\P2, rather than two hits.



I dont know, just throwing out theories. I already gave up on the idea of finishing this project by the end of the week, so i'm not in a hurry.

HUURRRRGH-

I'm very VERY tempted to write out Teruna Bloodedge-Yuuki moveset.... I've been drawing out every single attack for him before I began the forum fighting game drawings... I left off at the start of his D drive.

To post or not to post...? THAT is the real question!

If you want to then feel free to do it, although i created this thread mainly because i wanted some input from other folks on the forum with the moveset. Squall alone already helped me a lot, but literally everyone is free to give suggestions and throw their opinions.




Anyway, i will go back to writting the rest of the normals now. I am highly considering Squall's new drive idea since i love it because of how true to canon it stays while balancing the issue of "stealing too much hp".

Aaaaaaand i have updated the OP. sadly i'm too tired to start writting his Drives now, but at least i completed the normals list. I have also took up Squall's change to the drive. Thank you very much for your input good sir, it was much appreciated.

No problem, me and my buddies are gonna make a 3d fighter, so I know a bit about character creation. Im sposed to be doing all the artistic legwork and alot of the character idea brainstorming.

I wonder if I should make a character for this? I have quite a few ideas and I have some idea of how to balance a character.
