your experience with games split in the different kind of games you play.

if you play only fighting games you will become good,if you play ONLY BB then you will become extremelly good in 1 year.
example:i play EVERY KIND OF GAME(except MMO they don't count as skill and ability games anyway).i started to play BB 60-70% but someone else play BB 90%.in the end the other one is better than me.well i have prove for this...observation.

ANYWAY.training is everything that's all.

edit:btw i suppose your main char is ragna,we have many good ragna mains here.mirror matches help you to learn you char better.
