I love this game, but from the day it came out til now I've had one of the most frustrating times finding matches that I've ever had in a fighting game. I understand that Extend was only a minor update and not necessarily worth $40, but on the other hand we got the last update for free, making close to a two year time gap in between when we last had to pay for the latest BlazBlue. If money isn't the issue, is it that people are merely bored and have largely dropped the game for other ones? I personally play all my fighting games somewhat evenly (unless a game JUST came out, then I'll spend a couple weeks to a month on it before evening everything out again), but everyone is different I guess. Sorry for the rant, but I just find this so disappointing.

BlazBlue began to die before the release of EXTEND. For some fighting game players, who BlazBlue was their secondary game, EXTEND was the final nail in the coffin, and they left the community, but many people began teetering out of the community just after the release of CS2.
Which is strange because CS2 brought in a fair few new players, but then a lot of players who'd been around since CT left.

I must confess, I haven't played BlazBlue in months. I only played EXTEND five or so times so far. I just can't get into it the game way I got into CT and the original CS. And I've had games which are, quite frankly, more important to me to play. Pokémon Black and White, Final Fantasy games, Skullgirls, etc. I also personally had the rise up of a college-related motivation and a dropping of a lot of pass times to help my grades. That's my personal reason.

I'm sorry Venussail. I want to have more to contribute to the community and I want to get better and play with others, but the fact that I have no money to buy both EXTEND and fix my xbox kind of hinders me from that. .__.

Two more reasons:

People have lost interest because a lot of the fandom are casual fans who play because they like the story or characters and the Continuum Shift updates have only added small updates to the story and roster with each one. People are tired of Continuum Shift and want a totally new game, the interest will sky rocket when it's announced.

Complete and utter news saturation for Blazblue is another reason,

Broken PS3=I can only play once a week at my friend's house


The only other option is BBCS2 on 3DS and I only play that when I'm bored cause it honestly sucks as a port lol.

When I get my PS3 fixed, I'll be able to play a lot more, but I don't know when or if that's happening.

Ranked Matches are non-existent, but I can always get into a Player Match lobby. By the way, I play on PS3 and Xbox.

Though there is a definate loss of players with this latest release. I imagine it's just because players are cheap, and don't think an incremental update is worth the money, rather than a loss of interest in the game as a whole.
