This games learning curve is higher then any on the market right now (except KOF 13). Even characters that seem easy like Ragna and Noel, take hours upon hours of practice to play correctly. There is beauty in this games diversity.

Basically it would take a genetically engineered mind to learn every character correctly.

Or instead of hacing a genetically engineered mind you could have things like time and dedication, learning combos, matchups, gimmicks, character specifics, frame data and all those other wonderfull things. Not saying it's impossible but you're gonna have to put in the work.

If you want to do things like basic bread and butter combos you are going to need to spend time in training mode. Also the fact that you are using Valkenhayn who is a tad bit difficult to use may mean that you might have to put in a little bit more time in learning him compared to other members of the cast. Although good thing is you'll be getting the wins and being able to pull off some pretty cool things so I guess thats the best of both worlds right?

Although if you dont have wanna do any of those things I guess you could put on begginer mode, but that'll only get you so far.

There is a difference in doing them in training and under pressure though.

I can pull off Valk's BNB's in training mode but I drop them in real play.

And you are right, he is difficult. I'm having trouble with him right now.

When I was talking about going in to training mode i meant it so that he could develop his muscle memory to help him with his combos, obviously it's going to be useless if you can't do that in an actuall match that's why it's good to practice then fight against people who are around your level or slightly below you so that you can pull them off during a match and from there see if you can pull them off against better oponents.

with that being said however, it becomes virtually useless if you dont know your fundementals (having good defence being the most important) and being able to convert damage off of hit confirms.

Also dude, PSN isn't a high pressure situation

For me it is.

PSR is serious business. I sometime find myself sweating after ranked matches.

Since I have a simple question and don't want to start a new topic for it I'm going to post it here. What do the different connection ratings mean input lag or millisecond ping wise?

Ah...

I'm not sure in particular... but 4 is obviously the best, while 0 is the worst.

However, a general connection of 1-2 would be decent and is completely playable. 3 is above average and 4 is almost flawless.

Hello, I'm just entered the great BB world and seeking for answers I came here, because couldn't find proper informations, so here is my thing:

I start playing BB: CT on PC around week ago and really liked the story (even if I don't like 2D fighting games and suck at it, something brings me to play it), so I've been playing story mode really carefully and enjoy it like nothing else before in fighting games. Although even 100% completed story CT doesn't give anything to comprehend the BB universe. That's why I want more, but don't know which game I have to buy to go chronologically with story, don't losing anything from it. So here's my question:

Is BB: CS Extended II have everything which had CS, CS II and CS Extended? Or maybe I have to buy previous title to enjoy full story? And btw: is there option to change language to Japanese like in CT even in US or EU version?

My only problem here is, like I said - I suck at 2D fighting games, even if CPU is rather weak on story mode I'd like to enjoy game more doing at least simple combos, that have Xbox360 and here comes the next question: is it possible to play it on that shitty controller with Microsoft's broken D-Pad with satisfying performance?

Ok, that will be all for now :)

Hi Gosen.

If you want more story, just get Extend. It basically has everything from previous Continuum Shift games + it even has a redone CT story mode too. It's got everything you need, story wise.
There is indeed an option to have Japanese voices, with English subtitles if you like, that's what I use. It should be available for all BB games, be it EU or US versions.

About controllers; I'd say if you're still playing on PC, best bet is to go with using a wired Xbox360 pad and connecting it to your PC. It doesn't have the best D-pad, but I find the Analog stick works totally fine in playing the game, especially since it sounds like you're not at a particularly high level game-play wise, so it won't make much difference. It's a comfortable controller and that's all that matters at this point.

Hope this helps

EDIT: Btw I don't know what you mean by CS Extend II, because there's no such game.
There's CT, CS, CS II, and CS Extend. Like I said, just get Extend and that's all you need and is the latest BB game out atm, which most people would be playing
