I've seen that video before, but I really don't think it proves what you're trying to claim it does.

Nu is capable of doing some melee techniques, but she is clearly at a disadvantage compared to other fighters in that regard. In that video, by far most of Nu's damage came from her ranged attacks, and most times when the battle moved to melee range the advantage was with the other player and not with Nu.

Nu is not incapable of closing, but doing so is always extremely risky. You simply do not have the options in melee range as the other fighters and your health is extremely low.

Most good Nu players resort to closing at times to keep their opponent on their toes. And most do not stay in melee range long, often escaping back as soon as they lose the advantage of their surprise press. In other words, she has to employ hit and run tactics.

I might be misunderstanding your point, and if so I apologize, but I do not think Nu is as capable as the other fighters while in melee combat. And it sounds to me as if you're trying to assert she is.

I think the biggest issue is that when Nu has to go face to face, most people using her forget that she has A and B attacks. 4B is especially useful at close range, not only gives you some breathing room, but can set you up as well.

aye, a 5A->5B->5B(used twice in a row, the second 1 hits just like a 6B)->6C is a rly nice to get breathing room and if u have a hang of zoning, u can start somegood combos off it.

the only thing i dont like about her melee game is her only attack that breacks ducking guard i her 4B, and its range is not rly that good and missing leaves u wide open for a bit. So u can safely low guard vs her in melee (if she gives u the chance that is)

One thing I noticed about V-13 is that when you use her a lot and beat the same person over and over, they will eventually switch to Nu as well for a mirror match with the idea that they'll just sword spam you because that's all they see you doing.

Then they realize how much thought goes into her attack patterns and learn quickly that you can't just spam D with Nu and hope to win much of anything. That always puts a smile on my face.

ah yes, i know the feeling. I had a player match once where some1 did that and thought using 5D the whole match would make him win.

When peoples were to tell you this "Nu uses D alot.." blah blah so on and so forth, you should reply "Noel uses D more den Nu does( No offense to Noel users but seriously, they use D more then Nu )". And about their so called "Full screen poking", thats not true, their 5D, j.2D cant hit them when they're so far behind.. 4D is too easy do dodge ( yeah, HUGE startup frame, who can't dodge that?, well unless you're playing with a Dummy ) while the others.. too high.

So personally, I don't think Nu is overpowered.. If you want to talk about being frustrated by Nu, you should consider Arakunes who run back when u got cursed, spams A - D( not all at once ) and prevents getting hurt. Thats way more annoying ( yet again, no offense to Arakune users )

decent noels dont rly use their drive xcept for BnB and the ocassional mix-up rly. I think nu uses her drive more than noel, but thats still ok with me. Noel's may have low start-ups and is somewhat ackward at comboing something thats not mid-air, but nu's is predictable since depending on where u are, theres usually only 1-2 of her swords that can reach u. And 1 of them, the 4D is rly easy to dodge.

i personally dont think nu is op, but then again, i dont fight the 1% of players that form the top brass. So maybe nu is one of those characters that's just standard until ur a super expert at which point u become godly with her. But at my level of play, i dont rly find her much of a threat, i loose a lot more to tagers than i do to nus (ironically enugh considering their tier positions).

Yeah same here. I get beat by Tager way more than I do V-13. I mean I lose to V-13 also, but I usually tend to do better against her than I do against Tager. I lose to him more than anyone else.
