Here we will discuss everything from Ragna's story to some gameplay questions. Pretty much anything involving Ragna is free for discussion.

Some background info about Ragna the Bloodedge
from the BlazBlue Wiki:

Ragna the Bloodedge
VA: Tomokazu Sugita Birthdate: March 3rd
Bloodtype: B
Height: 185cm
Weight: 78kg
Birthplace: Unknown
Hobby: Cooking (especially good at barbecue)
Important to him: His silver ring
Hates: Ghosts and the Control System
Eye color: Has heterochromia, with a green eye and a red eye.

The almighty force managing the "Operation", in order to obtain absolute power over the world, is this man who has rebelled against the "Earth and Space Information Control System". Known as the "God of Death", a bounty for his elimination has been placed in all the regions populated with branches of the Control System. In game, his tactics revolve around using his power and large sword to keep pressure on his opponents. As for his special abilities, he is able to absorb his opponent's physical strength by using "Soul Eater".

Personally, I love the fact that he has heterochromia. Can't imagine maining anyone else. :3

yeah its is, but id rather have him with red and black/silver eyes rather then green 8-) . one big suprise is that he likes to cook, i thought his hobby would be fighting ( maybe his taunt can be him eating a burger  ). one thing i cannot beleive is that he hates ghost, i mean seriously, wtf. but yeah, even if a fighter will be in the game ( mainly a taekwondo character like may lee in KOF, may lee is so wicked :D ), ill still be using that character, but ill be five steps ahead with ragna. this is like a commitment. RAGNA FOR THE WIN :D . cant wait.

My friends tell me that I always tend to play the "generic" character in every fighting games (ie. Jin in Tekken, Kyo in KoF, Ryu in Street Fighter), and BlazBlue is NO EXCEPTION. Haha Perhaps it's the "balance" of the generic characters that always attracts my attention when I first turn on the game.

Ragna rules. No doubt.

Although, he and Jin Kisaragi are WAY too similar to Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. :/ Such as Ragna's Hell's Fang aka Sol's Rock It.

I'm going to sound like a complete idiot when I ask this, but I'm used to looking like an idiot, so here goes:

What is that kickass thingy on the back of Ragna's right hand that gives off that maroon-ish mist that he can attack with? It just looks sooo awesome...Plus, there are a few generic 'Anime/Anime Videogame Protagonist Stereotype Qualities' with Ragna, though, to my knowledge, these are usually not seen together in large amounts:

-
-- White/Silver hair
-
-- Giant sword
-
-- Some kind of awesome technique(s)/power(s) related to something sealed in/embedded in/fused to one of the hands
-
-- Mechanical arm
-
-- Awesome phyical strength, great for simply battering enemies
-
-- Goes against the 'establishment', in this case the Novus Orbis Librarium
-
-- Despite being a 'good guy', is predominately seen as evil; usually because they value 'Moral Justice' above 'Order', or because they're dedicated to their friends first instead of the 'establishment'
-
-- Was trained by a very powerful warrior (in this case, Jubei)
-

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. So yeah, it looks to me like he's loaded with stereotypes -- But I feel that he has so many qualities generic of anime protagonists loaded on his character, it makes him really unique. To me, at least.
...
Still, what is that mist-producing-thing on the back of his mechanical hand? It's awesome.

Anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong (Please do, I would like to know also), but it seemed to me as if that thing on Ragna's fake arm is a sort of lock that allows him to control the azure grimoire. You'll also notice that Nu has a similar device on her left eye.

I did notice that similar thing on the girl's eye...They both look a lot like simplified eyes to me. The way they open is pretty reminiscent of eyes...

And your idea sounds pretty likely to me. I was pretty sure it had something to do with Armagus...And the Azure Grimoire is a powerful form of Armagus...Good idea!

Ragna remember has a fake Grimoire

I knew that too. He doesn't even have a copy -- He has a fragment of a copy.
