I'm going to sound like a complete idiot when I ask this, but I'm used to looking like an idiot, so here goes:
What is that kickass thingy on the back of Ragna's right hand that gives off that maroon-ish mist that he can attack with? It just looks sooo awesome...Plus, there are a few generic 'Anime/Anime Videogame Protagonist Stereotype Qualities' with Ragna, though, to my knowledge, these are usually not seen together in large amounts:
-
-- White/Silver hair
-
-- Giant sword
-
-- Some kind of awesome technique(s)/power(s) related to something sealed in/embedded in/fused to one of the hands
-
-- Mechanical arm
-
-- Awesome phyical strength, great for simply battering enemies
-
-- Goes against the 'establishment', in this case the Novus Orbis Librarium
-
-- Despite being a 'good guy', is predominately seen as evil; usually because they value 'Moral Justice' above 'Order', or because they're dedicated to their friends first instead of the 'establishment'
-
-- Was trained by a very powerful warrior (in this case, Jubei)
-
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. So yeah, it looks to me like he's loaded with stereotypes -- But I feel that he has so many qualities generic of anime protagonists loaded on his character, it makes him really unique. To me, at least.
...
Still, what is that mist-producing-thing on the back of his mechanical hand? It's awesome.
Anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong (Please do, I would like to know also), but it seemed to me as if that thing on Ragna's fake arm is a sort of lock that allows him to control the azure grimoire. You'll also notice that Nu has a similar device on her left eye.
